ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY
We acknowledge and respect the traditional lands of the Gundungurra and Tharawal people, and we respect the Elders past, present and future. There is a strong connection of culture, dreaming and songlines to the local Wingecarribee, Wollondilly and Nattai rivers, and the surrounding landscape. 'Bowral' is thought to originate from an aboriginal word for 'high place'.
We ask all people that visit the Southern Highlands to be respectful of the indigenous culture and traditions, and be mindful to preserve this beautiful natural environment that we share with you.
